Sure it wasn't a "classic" max payne but if you want that, then go play the first two, I thought that it wrapped up the story nicely and the gameplay was fun as all hell

I'vewanted to make sense of the Max Payne 3 story but I think it's impossible. the best I've come is taking it as Max having no idea what to do with his shitty life so he followed Pasos around despite not remembering him, so he got in deep shit and ended up not knowing what to do but see it to the end.
It feels like a copout, because his "redemption" came out of fucking nowhere,and while his speech sounded cool it really means nothing in context.

The thing is you have to watch the whole cutscene anyway, regardless of how long the loading actually takes. The loading could be done in 30 seconds but you still have to watch a five minute cutscene. They could have easily made it skippable after it was finished loading.
