When did you figure out who was the killer?
are the endings different? I dont think I knew til the very end. Dont remember.
At the clock shop. The scene is just so poorly done, you immediately recognize there's been a sloppy attempt to deceive you and it pretty much points to a single person.

It's understandable, since the game literally has a murder take place while you're controlling the character who's doing it. There's no slight of hand or misdirection, they pull a King Crimson and just delete the chunk of time where it happens so you don't see it. The killer absolutely cannot be the killer according to what the player is shown. It's one of the laziest things I've ever seen in a story.

I was expecting Ethan or some shit, but instead it was the least logical answer.
First hunch was when Lauren brings him the envelope and he has a typewriter right there on the table. Also he's very dismissive of it.
Second was the clock shop, as mentioned. How did the killer get in at the exact moment Manfred was about to divulge information that would lead to his capture?
Third was the flashback. The kid looked like Shelby. Also he's again very dismissive of this lead - that basically confirmed it.
figured out pretty late, im like 'how is he supposed to get a clue, from supposedly himself, and then save his son, if he's dead'
felt pretty stupid after but I did have a hunch it wasn't the blatent choice. panned out ok.
You know what would have been perfect for this game? A new game plus mode where you can hear Shelby's real thoughts. Or heck, make it so that the killer is random on each playthrough, you can have one playthrough where it actually is Ethan.
