Never played Legends but Origins was one of the greatest platformers of all time.
Got it free on Xbox One.

It has a great level design and the best minigame ever made, Kung Foot.
It's a beautiful and fun game.

Not only it includes it but it also improves Origins levels. They cleaned up the stages by placing enemies in different places, so they basically avoided most cheap ways of dying. Also, they brought back chest chases, which is all I needed.

I 100% agree, though I think my love for rayman 1 is mostly nostalgia, the actual game has a really sporadic difficulty curve and a few janky moments. Still a great game, though.

Not him but it really is, I even played it ondreamcastat the time and felt it distinctly lacked actual platforming in favour of runner sections that were a bit tedious. Soundtrack's god-like, though; but everything else about it 3 does better.
2D series is still better than the 3D games, despite the difficulty being all over the place in the 2D games (Rayman 1 jumps from hard to easy to hard all over, Origins is close but has some unfair enemy/hazard placement, legends is a much tighter origins but too easy)

It's shit. You have 10 hit points when you get the health power-up (I think you start with 7) so you can pretty much bumrush everything, they cut a lot of the music because DSiWare games have to be pathetically small, screen crunch for obvious reasons, every goddamn time you hit a checkpoint, the game takes an actual picture of you.

Great game, probably one of the best Ubisoft's made in years. Too bad they think making shitty AAA open world trash is better than quality games like Rayman. They don't even release a full fledged game for the series 20th anniversary which is stupid.

It's fucking great. I love it. I pirated it on PC a while back and I ended up beating it. That PC couldn't even handle the game on fullscreen so I had to paly windowed, but I endured and beat it. I loved the game so much that I bought it on Wii U to show my support. I would've beaten it again, but the Murphy stages on Wii U are terrible. If I would've known they were so bad I would've just bought it on my PS4. I have a mid tier PC now (i5 4440, gtx 960, 8gb ram) but I don't like Uplay.

Yeah but they're not 3D models, pretty sure only the bosses are actual 3D models. The changes relate mostly to artstyle (additional shading), and animation is a little smoother since I think they used a different technique or (an updated) engine
I haven't played Legends but I do fap to Barbara pretty regularly, feels good man

This this this. The flow, the rhythm, that's true level design. Legends is king in that. Maybe that makes leves easy but they still feel so damn good. It still takes skill and timing to complete a stage in the best ways.

The biggest complaint I have about the game is that the character select screen is the stupidest thing ever concocted. I really wish they had just made a simple menu for that.
