LoZ is my top 3 series of games, althought I wish it had a story to it, and it's puzzles have been lacking for some time. Could just be that I just grew up and puzzles made for kids don't challenge me anymore.

Which is fine, not everyone here is 30 years old. Just an observation.
I have tried to get into Ocarina of time, majora's mask 3ds and a link to the past but I have never gotten past the first dungeon. They are just so boring. No b8 I legitimately want to like the games but I feel like I can't because I never played them as a kid.

The games got more polished and more in-depth stories yet somehow manage to get more annoying and broken with each game. Aonuma's insistence on flipping between his Toon Linku and a half hearted attempt at compromise with "serious" Zelda doesn't help..

It's only a nightmare for 100% completionist who want to beat the guard training game up to 999.

Wind Waker and Majora are tied, Zelda II is underrated and berated by Ocarina crybabies, Spirit Tracks has yet to be topped in terms of modern Zelda games and Four Swords Adventures is how you do a multiplayer Zelda while still allowing for a singleplayer experience. I don't count the HD remakes as new games, they're just that: The same game in HD and the 3DS remasters may as well not exist.
All things said, Ocarina and Minish Cap are an absolute joy.

It's even better in the original release which adds a new mechanic.
When you die in the game your stats reset to the lowest of the three.
For Christmas I'm thinking of buying all the adults I know who play Candy Crush like my dad a GBA SP AGS-101 edition along with a copy of Zelda II, the GBA Famicom release. The problem is of course, the language barrier would make it impossible for a first time player, but I think if I print out a sticker with the key phrases in the game translated into English and paste it on the lower half of the SP, that anyone can get through it.

The track are nothing but linear. There is plenty of path and in and out itself, it's basically the same as navigating through boat in WW and PH from isles to isles.
Also, seeing the tracks expand and alter the map, just like in Super Mario World, was quite neat.
