I think I agree. Konami didn't force Kojima to come up with the dumbest story possible, or give the protagonist no lines, or completely fuck up and confuse everyone's character motivations. They also didn't stop him from moving to "open world" gameplay which fucked the level design sideways, and the missions in the finished part of the game are still really bad on the whole.
Kojima's been making stupid decisions since 4, and V was the culmination of that, despite being cut short.

No, a 10/10 is not. To call a game a 10/10 is to call it perfect. The grindy nature, uselessness of the open world, and severe padding towards the end of the game with the fucking repeat missions that had difficulties and modes that should have been in from that start (I'm not even counting story here, THAT is subjective) mean it's not perfect. It's that simple. In my opinion, it should be a 7.5-8/10. Some people disagree. But it is not a perfect game.
