Its not really that bad, I just think it's pretty frustrating as far as MD goes

Worse story
from what i understand its cumbersome going through dungeons when you can only select the actions of one character as well as there being an easily abuseable "glitch" that can max your stats very early in the game. glitch as in it increases stats for a limited time (say +3) but then wears off -3 after a few turns; but if you spam it to +12 at the end of its effect it only does -3
It's a noticeable (not sure what other word to describe the feeling) departure from the Etrian Odyssey gameplay that a lot of fans didn't want and, from what I've heard, a rather subpar Mystery Dungeon game on its own.
If only the game was as good as the soundtrack.

It doesn't mesh EO and MD mechanics very well and using a full team is actually counterproductive, also fairly glitchy
Also the story is barebones compared to PMD which is all most "MD" fans in the west have experience with and is a major draw for them, and even still it's also barebones compared to Shiren
