Anyways, you ain't fighting anything if you don't have a good pilot, most of this fights are being fought in T2 and T3 cruisers and some pirate battleships and caps, supers+, everything else is premium cannon fodder and you won't last a second in grid so you either go gatecamping for stragglers or be useless, so just more fun to go do something else.

Honestly you can play suicide tackle or scout fairly early if you want. EWAR is also quick to train into < 1 month. You still have fun with low sp.

I would recommend Pandemic Horde for a month or two to learn the game and get kills, then move on to waffles if you decide you enjoy PvP and are interested in joining PL.

Fun in this instance is dying in the first encounter after about 30 seconds because anything a new player can fly is going to be made of tissue paper. You can then either get podded back to your corp's home and listen to them have fun on coms while you reship or I dunno. Follow in your pod and pretend you are still participating?
Also most roams will go one of three ways:
You wait 3 hours after the form up to actually leave the system only for the group to disband.
You wait one hour and then spend the next two roaming around 50 systems trying and failing to find a fight you can actually stand a chance winning. You may get to gank a couple of lone targets on the way if you are lucky.
You manage to find a fight but it's such a massive clusterfuck that nobody knows what is going on anyway. Your interaction will be limited to orbiting your anchor and pressing F1 on the assigned targets. This is an improvement on days of old where you would just assign sentries and press nothing.
