I just don't know about that. GT has been dying since around 2010 when they started to drastically lose traffic. If it wasn't for MTV owning them, they would have went under way back then. All the coverage GT got, all the review copies, all that shit was just because of MTV connections and not on their own accord. Theres a reason why the site basically has been dry and dead the last year after MTV basically cut off support. So I'm still doubtful I guess.

Well the series has come a long way since DeS.

There was an interview where he talks about the difference between japanese and western development, and how it's often harder to see how a japanese game will turn out because they don't focus on making a vertical slice for demonstration. Instead they tend to make a lot of separate assets before stitching them together and getting systems working with them. Demon's Souls seemed a lot worse during development than it ended up being as a result. Probably didn't help that the development was pretty rocky and had to be salvaged halfway through.
