This is laughable. All of us have components of our worldview based on theories. Gravity, quantum theory, electricity, etc. are not testable or observable. They are theories, not unlike metaphysics. If you excluded everything not empirically proven from your understanding of reality, you would be left with surprisingly little—even less if you count how much you have directly observed and tested, instead of relying on other people's tests.
Science where you empirically test something until it is functional is as old as civilization. You can't compare philosophy and science like that. The scientific method and the abstract thinking philosophers do is complementary. All of our best scientists have had philosophical leanings.
