>>
>>331981768

Ratchet 2 didn't have the worst fucking scavenger hunt area in the series (and yes, I'm factoring in the Yetis).
>>
>>331980871
Crack in Time is the best in terms of plot and gameplay, just fucking accept it man.
>>
Okay, lets go with the pro's of 2 and 3

2 had tight level design, good core gameplay, the best R.Y.N.O in the game and good weaponry(ignoring bouncer), introduction of strafing, good music and gladiator arenas were fun.

3 had really good weaponry, a good side missions system, more linear but rich level design, and the enemy variety is p.good, weapons returning from previous games were also really neat.

Anything Im missing?

Plasma Coil, Turret Glove, Seeker gun, Meteor Gun, all of them do the job better without being wastes of time like that fucking orange volleyball launcher, and unless memory is wrong, all but Coil are cheaper and out DPS it while also being acquired on good planets, and not that shit awful magnet boot dependant shithole. Good starting segment though, looked amazing.

Hey, not my fault it sucks ass, costs a bunch at that time you reach the planet to buy it and was always a massive disappointment. Always my last purchase on the game, from how shit it was.

Up Your Arsenal's only flaw is that it's a little on the shortside, especially in comparison to Going Commando, but yearly releases will do that.

Weapons scale better in 3. in 2, a lot of the weapons you got early in the game are useless near the end.

2 had more fun space content too (did 3 even have space content? i don't remember)

2 is comfier. since there's not very many characters outside of Ratchet and Clank, it does a good job of establishing the fact they're kind of alone in a strange galaxy.

Exactly. They make a boring ass level even more boring. The Yetis were bad yes, but not that horrible. Quit being a babby.
>>

You could spend several grand on a PC with a monster CPU and emulate it at the same resolution and framerate as a PS2... Or just buy a real PS2 and real game for the same experience.

I can't put it in words, but there was a charm to 1 that 2 was missing. Little things like showing Ratchet hefting a gun he just bought. And the suck cannon.

I can hardly remember anything about GC outside of the first few levels, the collectathon levels, spaceship battles and the end. That said a few levels are coming back to me, like the protopet invasion planet which was great.

UYA is way more memorable though: the starship pheonix, Q Force, Quark's mission plan, Quark going rogue; great planets throughout, great final boss.
>>
Deadlocked is the best game.
>>
>>331992503
I only played the HD re-release which I don't think had multiplayer. In any case it was formulaic and a great chore.
>>

It did.
>>
>>331992828

>>
>>331992792

Did it only have local co-op? If so, that was a hell of a missed opportunity.
>>
>>331992946
Both UYA and Deadlocked had local and online multiplayer. Not sure about online co-op but probably local only.

They shut down the PS2 servers (which were up as late as 20-fucking-12) to start up PS3 servers for the HD rerelease of both games.

>>331992928
I imagine UYA would be more active.
>>
>>331992946
I don't know about online multiplayer, but it had local co-op which dropped the framerate to single digits.

I don't know how they managed to fuck up Deadlocked when the HD trilogy was fine.

I never beat two but I thought the original was the best

Ratchets snarky attitude
The introduction of all characters
No pause when selecting your weapons or strafing made it a bit more challenging
The fact enemies can die with at least 1-2 wrenches for a majority of the game reminds me of spyro
Great music and locations

The story is simple while charming and a bit humorous

I felt 3 went a little over the edge with the space drama, but Courtney Gears singlehandedly redeems itself

GC2:
>introduced some fantastic weapons
>concept art-tier levels; arguably the overall best in the entire series
>best RYNO in the series
>weapons become obsolete far too quickly
>weapons are incredibly hit-&-miss & several are outright useless (looking at you, Clank Zapper)
>gimmicks were also hit-&-miss
>Tony Garcia's 3-day, Snowbeast Award-winning level

UYA:
>comedy at an all-time high
>plot the perfect amount of depth/seriousness/fun
>brought back some of the best weapons from GC & improved on them even more
>weapons are far more balanced (aside from Shock Blaster)
>2 quick select rings
>swingshot/dynamo no longer require equipping
>arena is second only to Deadlocked
>gimmicks were just 'fine' - none particularly good, none particularly bad
>level art design is arguably the worst in the entire series

It's tight & I can get why you'd prefer GC, but UYA's the one for me
