I'm making an unofficial "sequel" to Final Fantasy 7 using RPG maker, since FF7 is my favourite game of all time, and since japanese companies are usually way less anal about copyright bullshit than americunt companies are. I'm basically just going off the original game and ignoring all the stuff from advent children or crisis core.
Any of you fellow synaptic memebros got any ideas on what I can make the plot about?

Anon FF7 is autoconclusive why ever

LMAO faggot, don`t waste your time.
No one is going to play your autistic piece of shit RPG maker crap
>>331850656
Stop. Change the characters, setting and plot and make something original instead.

>rpg maker

STOP
rain strife who is cloud strife's brother.

Square shut down a fan sequel of Chrono Trigger right before it's completion. I was one of the most dick copyright moves in gaming. You have probably picked the worst company to try and borrow characters from.

Fuck you. I'm gonna do it JUST BECAUSE YOU SAID I CAN'T
I'LL SHOW YOU, WORLD!! YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD STOP ME. YOU THOUGHT WRONG.
Also, my other idea is to use RPG maker to make a remake of Resident Evil remake, like with the same keys in the same locations and same mansion layout, but with turn based battle mechanics.
Is that idea more or less shit than a ff7 sequel?

Seriously, just stop. While RPG maker can be a good entry way for complete beginners into game development, you'll quickly realize that you won't get anywhere near the dream game you're wanting to create. Start with RPG Maker and make a small game, nothing related to any other game. Write the story and design the game in your head first, type your ideas (ALL of it) down in Evernote, Word or any other program, and only after that start to create your RPG. After you've finished it (make sure you actually finish it), change game engine and learn how to do basic programing. Heck, just pick up gamemaker studio if you're completely inexperienced and just learn that language and try to build another easy game, nothing related to your dream game. After you've built 3 smaller games or so that you're completely satisfied with and you've picked up the basics of using code, designing art and what not, take a lot of time to write down and realise your game design document. After that, start the development and give it your best.
What you're creating now will be shit. Do it properly instead.
