seriously, no. you can always get enough soul for buy the purging stone and you can farm umanities from the rats near the bonfire of the depths. almost nothing is irreparable in this game.

Im on my first play through and havent been cursed once by them. I think i cleared the depths without dying once, including the fight with the gaping dragon. The depths have been the easiest part for me so far, but it was still pretty challaging, i didnt just blow through it all.

Because it is, the only decent area post Anor londo is the catacombs and tomb of giants right after it is awful shit.
Also all the bosses are easy as hell because you most likely are way overleveled for them due to Anor Londo.
Do the DLC though, that's great despite the reused environments.

Once you reach anor londo there's those big giants near the bonefire that you can kill for 1500 souls each. Don't worry about it too much. Also later in the game if you reach the DLC areas, there'll be enemies that drop humanities. More reliably than the rats I mean.
