D5 doesn't have any continuing story arc, some references made and a couple of surprise characters from previous ones, but nothing that would lower the enjoyment of the game. DQH, like Hyrule Warriors, is mostly just a huge fan-game, while you don't need any prior DQ history to get the story, you'll probably not feel connected or get the significance of some of the charaters/enemies.

I don't know what to tell you other than you have really narrow tastes or absolutely no idea of the games that you can already buy or are just around the corner. I've been putting good hours on my PS4 since Feb (jan was Dragon'sDogma month for me)
April-June releases look amazing to me, and that's before all the hyped up 2016 Q3/4 games (except uncharted4 which comes before then but I don't care for it)

The post you replied to gave very logical reasoning. 99.9% of everyone that isn't a sonygger would agree that current consoles aren't up to the modern standard of playing games at common resolutions with even stable 30 fps. Hell, even sony and ms know the consoles aren't up to par hence why they've already confirmed to be making new and more powerful ones.
