There is no worse character in this game then Little mac and there never will be because mac is inherently flawed by having an exploitable recovery.
Several other obvious reasons Little mac is the worst character in the game by far is
1:None of his moves are safe on shield and lack range
2:His mix ups are poor due to lack of aerials
3:His grab game is shit in a grab based game
4:He has no combos accept d-tilt into f-tilt and u-tilt chains at 0%.
5: He dies off stage one hit and his recovery is predictable as fuck
I agree his grab could use a bit of a buff but super armor really makes up for a lot of his issues.
You just have to relearn the basics for Mac. Don't play defensive and/or safe like other characters, go aggro.

Keep in mind Zelda also can't approach you. She's slow as molasses and has zero mobility, aside from teleports which can get predictable. Just stay outside of her range and bait out the Nayru's Love with downward Metal Blades/Leaf Shields and use your superior speed and amazing grab to rack up the damage until you can get a good Spark Shock KO. Just don't use the Charge Shot. Like ever.

As a Jigg main, it pains me, whe will never be like she was in Melee, most of her being good came from the aerial speed she (And everyone else) had in that game, now, seeing little buffs and shit she really is lacking at high level play, sure it is great against some characters and you can still unbalance your foes, but damn, at least she's better than she was in Brawl.

Mix-ups exist in Smash, yeah. Like everything else, shit works differently in smash when compared to traditional fighting games, but a lot of the ideas transfer over.
I know high-lows sort of exist, at least in melee, thanks to being able to aim your shield and the shield getting smaller as you get pressured.
Rosalina is worse. Separate her from Luma and she's damn near defenseless.

Little Mac is either in the dead centre of the tierlist or not applicable because of how volatile he is. Mac can be completely unstoppable if he gets those K.O. punch setups and he can be complete fodder if he gets gimped instantly. It doesn't matter what character goes against him. mac can murder anyone and he can also get murdered by anyone.
