If you want balance just play 6s. Valve may not have balanced their game properly but the competitive community did it for them.

Yep. A bunch of broken weapons are banned, and there are class limits.
If you've never played it before there's a 6s mix for new players every Friday 9 PM EST. I've done it a couple times and it's pretty good.
One of the few games which does nothing but make me sad, knowing that it was once great and now continues as nothing more than a husk.
