Yeah, the whole point of JENOVA is that it's suppose to sound incredibly alien when it starts. JENOVA isn't your typical boss and I think they really need to remember that when you fight it in the remake, not only with it's theme, but also how it moves, what it's attacks are against you.
JENOVA Birth used stop, something you might not be able to defend against at that point. I want that in edition to odd and jerky movements, shape shifting and bending.
The Jenvova fights were all really good and I can't wait to see how they handle them since two of the fights are in areas with not a lot of space.

From what I've heard Midgar will be it's own episode. Now based on said assumption, and the fact that Midgar was about 1/5th of the first disc of the original game, how much do you guys think we'll end up paying for the entire FF7R game?
I would not be surprised if, with all the side-quests and optional shit, pluss the inevitable Aerith DLC and other weirdness, the entire product will cost closer to 800 bucks.

Not him, but the AC OST is fucking godly. Uematsu knew exactly how to add an popcorn action movie-style twist to his classic tracks and it worked fucking marvelously for the type of movie Advent Children was. It's one of the few things about that movie that went really well.

Crazy motorcycle is actually one of the less well-composed tracks on the FFVII OST, though that has most to do with the tools available at the time. The synth beat doesn't work nearly as well as it does for the other actiony-works like Fighting or Those Who Fight Further. Anyone who knows modern SE knows that "greatly expand upon" will mean one new area and a few re-skinned enemies. I can totally see them trying to sell this game for 40 bucks a pop and if the speculation turns out to be correct (and there's no denying that it's possible), that's 600 bucks for the entire game, not including whatever DLC they add onto it. Don't think for a nanosecond Wutai Village will not be DLC.
There will be a complete edition, no doubt, probably something they're going to be throwing out to generate hype for the PS5/PC version. Which might be a little cheaper, but don't hold your breath.
There is absolutely no way they are going to make it to JENOVA Birth on the first episode. At best it'll end in Nibelheim on an "emotional cliffhanger". And even that's a bit of a reach.

Oh I'll absolutely agree to that. FF7 is not a short game in any sense, and even if they just copied it, it would be an incredibly long game by today's standards!
That being said, it's not really the issue here. The issue is that you're going to be paying quite a lot of money for that game. And if it hits anywhere between 600 and 800 bucks, you're still paying a fucking lot of money for a game you have essentially already played before but with a few hours extra content.
That might be worth it to you, but you can't argue that it's a very consumer-friendly approach. Especially under the fucking stupid excuse that they can't fit more on the bloody disc.
