So is it best to just play one game in the series? I own MH4U and MH3U (Wii U ver.) and I don't know which one to give my attention to.

Mh4u was a big change in all monster hunter games

Release order starting with FU.

>playing every MH
You can jump between multiple, but a lot of people usually just stick with the latest. In the case of those two, there's a lot of unique content each has over the other so just play whatever you want. I usually dedicate myself to one at a time, but I've gone back to past games to play from low rank all over again.

Is it easier to get HR now?
172 hours doesn't seem much for HR 982

They probably spammed Fatalis or something.
These are the type of people that think HR = How good a player is.

I don't want anyone to go through the pain that is MH1.

Play 4U.
Remember that MH games take a massive commitment to get the most out of, so playing through multiple might turn into a drag unless you have the time and are that into it.

Screw that. Back then, we had fun with the pain.
Play 4U or just wait for Generations.
I started with 3U, quit after the water battles annoyed the shit outta me
Played 4U till I burnt out (enjoyed it far more than 3U)
Now I'm waiting on Generationsand Stories

Please don't bring your Stockholm Syndrome into discussions of actual fun games.

Yeah I'm the guy with the Hr 982 and I actually spam Chaotic Gore Magala and it's just a bucket of HR points

Look at this casual.
You should do 3U first and when you're done with that do 4U. It's hard to go backwards in the series because there's always small convenience changes in every game.
