I need to know what people see in this game. I want to enjoy it, I really do, but it is just so aged I don't find it playable. Convince me this game is worth finishing, /v/.
I took the time to do the Navarro power armor run which was really a bitch wandering across that whole map.
The combat takes forever. I can do shit on my phone just for amount of time it takes for a round of combat to complete. This is with the speed slider at its fastest setting.
I don't see what "freedom" people are talking about. You can either wander around aimlessly like I can do in a shitton of games these days, do the quest, or be a pornstar which people seem to think is the crowning achievement of this game.
Convince me, /v/. I want to like this but I can't find a reason.

If you are not enjoying the atmosphere and jokes, then you won't have as much fun. The gameplay is pretty pathetic, especially if you are spoiled by real time Fallout Tactics. (fun game)

Not that I know of, nope. If you get Bozar weapon, it makes combat end quickly naturally. It fucking shreds all enemies and uses .223 ammo. You can get it in San Fran and guards of midget in front of NCR have it.

Gauss Rifle speeds up every fight, except for Power Armor dudes, cause lightning does little to no dmg.
Use Bozar for Power Armor dudes and crowds.
The game is meh, as long as you dont have the car, because of the long distances between subgoals. But it is the strongest story-wise and introduces a lot of cool characters. You cannot compare it to modern games, since it lacks comfort functions. This and the sheer amount of possible builds made it for me.
