We know that Nintendo said they wanted to unify their handheld and console game development teams and we know that 3DS already uses an ARM processor.

Much as I want a normal console from Nintendo, I doubt we'll get one. I don't think they're in a position in the market to be directly competing with Microsoft and Sony. I think they'd manage to lose out even more (if it's even possible to sell less than 12 fucking million).
