I've played most of Telltale's new shit and it's okay for a single playthrough, not great.
I usually replay Platinum games a few times and still remember them fondly.

I don't know, I don't think something like God Hand could be replicated by platinum. God Hand feels like a genuine 6th gen game, with 6th gen gaming mentality. Platinum is competent but I'd rather a Capcom team lead the hipothetical project.

Beat 'em up is still acceptable for 3D games. It's more ethymological, hack 'n slash games are mostly those involving blades like DMC3 or the Dynasty Warriors type games, but in essence they are beat 'em ups
