For anyone curious about the patch and Alex, the reason they haven't released anything yet is because there is still one for Capcom Cup event to go this month, which is the NorCal regional that lasts from the 25th to the 28th. Rules are strict on time regarding updates and the like, so that's why they can't release all this shit just yet. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Because Capcom doesn't have the financial backing to do so. Remember, SFV wasn't even supposed to come out until 2017-2018 due to Capcom's financial situation. This game only got made thanks to Sony, and they did what they could within the span of a year or two given that development started in 2012/2013.
Not saying it's okay, but when you go from "SFV will never exist" to "Oh shit, we got the green light from Sony and need to make the game under a year," there's only so much you can do.

It's more about there not being a trailer or even a release date. If the shit was at a respectably finished state they should at least be able to deliver on those fronts.

The difference is that Capcom wanted 100% profit for the most minimal effort. Also SF requires forced hype and campaigning to keep people interested otherwise they all move onto deeper fighting games.

it's true that the game sold like shit but capcom doesn't give a fuck because fighting games will always be synonymous with SF and as long as that's the case they never have to bother fixing shit.
i actually really like the gameplay and fighting mechanics in SFV, but Capcom have basically abandoned all but a very small fraction of their consumers. I don't mean the FGC, I mean the people who are able to go to every single CPT event and qualify.
