After getting all hyped for ffxiii I can never get excited about a final fantasy game ever again. I wish they would do something more akin to ffix. Interesting fantastical world, multifaceted characters I actually care about, brilliant writing that was light-hearted and genuinely funny at times while still being able to visit and explore more serious themes. Now all we get and have to look forward to are poorly written edge fests with teenagers saving the world between recess.
One dimensional Insufferable characters, linear gameplay absent of any sense of wonder or exploration and it all exists with in a vapid and banal universe and lets not for get the expectation of having to play 10000 hours before it gets "good".
At the very least xv looks open world from the get go but it looks like a jap version of gta.
