You get free shit if you save them
A physic staff, I think a marriage seal and a stat booster as well, I think Dracoshield. The more you save the more stuff you get, so if just one is left alive you get just the seal I believe. Saving them all is tricky later on, especially the faggot on the bottom left but saving the other 3 is doable.

The guy on the lower left is a lost cause. If you put up a barricade on the south part of the bridge as well as in front of the lower right guy, you can choke the berserker point with a dodgetank and deal with the upper area at your leisure. Its hard as fuck to set up but its probably your best chance.
