The only major complaint I have with 64 is how sluggish Kirby feels to control. The art style, music, environments, bosses, and attempt at a new ability mechanic were all really good

No but really, I don't know why you jumped to insults so fast. People fucking love Kirby. Especially women, for obvious reasons, along with stuff like Yarn Yoshi and Animal Crossing. The franchise has sold ~35 million copies, which is only a few million shy of Super Smash Bros. numbers.

In addition to being referred to as a he in the translations, there's a girl Kirby seen in the anime. Which proves there's sexual dimorphism in his species. Kirby doesn't have those feminine traits.
