Haven't played dota 2 in a while but ever since my friends been telling me about all these "quests" he has to do I just assumed the game was pretty fucked. They are seriously fucking with the game by shifting all your teammates' priorities through arbitrary quest objectives. What the fuck were they thinking?

The quests are overall okay (except the non-final ones that require a specific hero; those are unnecessarily restrictive), and I've personally only met one guy who tried to screw the game in order to get his quest (a moron who wanted to farm Lina stuns before we had a lane of barracks down, but even then he got over it fairly quickly).
