Too gamey. Not enough cutscenes or LGBT characters.
Because it might not come out this year? The updates ("Now all we have to do is make every field") make it seem like there's still a ways to go.
I hope it does, though.
LM1 was the most "videogame" videogame I've played in years.
Shovel Knight came close but ultimately suffered from how the game felt like the person who made it sold his soul to the devil and had a deep uncanny valley as a result.

It's only too hard because games became more accessible.
Lamulana is way to tedious to enjoy for me.
You have to check online walkthrus every 10 minutes.
Or spend 30 figuring it out yourself.
Some might enjoy this but personally id prefer the game to be just a harder metroidvania ware the hard part is the game play not puzzles.
Just another overrated game just because it was finally translated.

you know the translation software? there's a few tablets around with numbers on them, so you turn off the translation software and compare the text and the original to figure out what character is what number
