it was dead from day one because it was a pay to pay game. They released it for what 60 bucks then had 1 map + 1 monster, then you had to pay another 20 if you wanted another map or monster. Fucking turtle bay deserved to go bankrupt from that.
Don't know much about Hawken other than the sound design was/is fantastic. I'd be down for a game with hawken's style but in a monster vs mech setting, like pacific rim or nge.

Evolve wasfunwhen it first came out, now its just boring to play. I'm not sure if every one is just hacking now but it takes the hunters 10 seconds to find the monster now and kill it without it even reaching the second stage. I remember you could actually hide in bushes or just do plain stupid shit right in front of people and they'd never know where you were, it was fun to stealth your way around. Now people just instantly know where you are at all times

Is it actually worth getting into the japanese version? I grew up playing PSO 4-player splitscreen on the gamecube, we must've put a few thousand hours into that shit. I'm not sure I'd be as into it now, but who knows.

Japan is actually pretty good at figuring out games for Japanese internet. They just don't care enough about making it work for regions larger than their own. This is also why KoFXIII worked fine there, but not outside of its country of origin.
