O3DS literally cannot handle their implementation of the emulation. I guess they don't cut as many corners to get it working. You can test this by downclocking a N3DS to O3DS levels, and it is really choppy, at least in F-Zero, and im sure the others.

I know there's a toggle between their pixel perfect mode and another one, which is fuzzy. I think that one just stretches it, but not to the full size of the screen

I guess you could make the argument that the games obviously were displayed in 4:3 despite the resolution being 8:7, so developers probably kept that in mind.

Stretching that will fuck the game more than you realise. SM World is hard coded to remove visual objects that fall roughly two tiles behind because of the on screen display limitation. You would just see the background as well as enemies and objects vanishing into the void and reappearing constantly and it would look awful.

I dont get it. How can one company be so god damn lazy? How is it that sega can go out, hire a competent team to do amazing ports of classic games but nintendo throws cheap shitty roms for $10 because theyre the apple of gaming? How does this happen? Do the autistic fans really allow this?

You're fucking retarded. In absolutely no Nintendo promotional material post fucking 1990, digital/site assets or otherwise are the pixels EVER represented with non-1:1 pixel aspect ratios. Even Mario Maker uses a 1:1 ratio for the retro tilesets.

You can do it properly on PCs because you stretch 256x224 to 1920x1080, there's a shit load of extra space for the interpolation to smooth things out.
