It's not too small like dualshock and its bumpers aren't as shit as Xbone's. Dpad is good and sticks being symmetrically above Dpad and buttons actually feels fucking great.

Except for the actually being ergonomic part. Dual shock is designed for tiny, gnarled, oddly angled Hiroshima hands.
My only problem with it is that the left stick rests just past my knuckle and not near the tip of my thumb in the most natural position. It hampers the speed I can shift the stick which for 95% of games where you don't have to make precise inputs in rapid succession it truly is GOAT.
