Which of these mediocre MMOs plays best as a single-player game? And more importantly, which is the most fun?

Not sure about SW, but I played ESO for a week and you can play in first person. Pretty much feels like Oblivion, but slightly prettier.

SWTOR - better story with better (and more varied) armor skins. ESO's story is terrible and it has about eight armor and weapon variations all up - I shit you not. Most people use dyes/racials to try and differentiate but you have to grind hard for these. You are also pretty much forced to take blacksmithing as a job as you won't be getting much loot from quests or dungeons.

PC has gone downhill, a lot of people are crashing a lot since the last 2 DLC's came out.
Really fun game, PvP is fun too, but the crashes man, the fucking crashes. It' like they want people to rage quit.

there's plenty of different armors
why would i be forced to take blacksmithing if ima fcking light armor sorc, or medium armor NB, or anything that doesnt use heavy armor/melee weapon

the crash problems are mostly in cyrodil
i used to have lags and crashes all the time but, havent crashed since thieves guild came out nor have had any lag(unless in cyrodil)

SWTOR's endgame is regrettably utter shite, but playing through the campaign is relatively fun because well, it's set up like a bioware game.
I've only played a bit of ESO and while i personally didn't enjoy it, it was a lot more visually appealing than SWTOR along with the combat being more fun than in SWTOR.

Cyrodiil is lag city ever since Orsinium came out. Used to be able to take part in the battles to take keeps full of players, like 40-60 people in the same small area zero trouble. Nowadays you are lucky if you can handle 15 people in the same spot at once without lag. And it's server side issues, nothing to upgrade in your rig or your internet speed to fix the issue.
Out of Cyrodiil you can manage just fine often times, but not in the one PvP area in the game.

Map is just as big, it can take like 20 minutes to get to the other side of it and thats if you dont get attacked by other players. Less dense wooded areas and the imperial city is half destroyed due to daedra attacks but if you were riding around, doing dungeons and going to cities youd see a lot of the same landmarks
Played swtor, quests are so fucking bad you start to notice a pattern
>new planet talk to someone, more often than not they send you to talk to someone else
>that person has you kill or collect a few things with the added twist to be nice and forgo an extra reward or be a dick and get a whole 2 extra gold!

If you do play this I suggest picking a non ranged class, never has a ranged class feel so fucking dull

There was a lot of crashing in Cyrodiil after TG came out but they fixed most of it (now the crashes are really rare).
Also, if you want to PvP go to the non vet campaign since it was made so much better with the last patch.

Really fun, and if they ever fix the lag in PvP its a ton of fun there too. But you play 1 of 3 factions, go through about 5 zones, all quests have voice actors and decent stories to go through. Then you go to Coldharbor and fight a zone full of Deadra and Molag Bal. Then you get to vet zones where its like you picked one of the other factions, you go through still playing your faction but in the vet zone everyone treats it as if you are in that faction.
All in all, no dlc, you get 16 zones of story content. Playing casually you can get a zone done in about 6-7 hours (listening to every quest giver, not just accept quest go run off) so even without PvP and DLC you have a big chunk of content that is fun. Voice acting is pretty good too.
