They couldn't implement rolls properly and that made the game's competitive scene more execution-heavy than it should be, not to mention rolls and an SNK feature, but 2 Capcom grooves got them.
Also, the capcom vs SNK series can't be considered complete until Haggar fights Geese.

But now that I think of it, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 is probably a little better. RRBB2 combo system is the best.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you that Garou is a great game, beautiful too.
But perfectly balanced? Perfectly? I can't agree. Just Defend opens up the save problems that 3s (another fantastic fighting game) had with parry, and essentially put characters without complex block strings or faster moves at the mercy of a good JD.

No, because it uses six buttons and all the Capcom characters are higher tier than any SNK character. CVSPro is better.

There is no typical SNK fighter. Mark of the Wolves is a Fatal Fury but it doesn't play like Real Bout Fatal Fury, Fatal Fury 3 or even Fatal Fury Special. And it doesn't play like KOF, Art of Fighting 1-2, Art of Fighting 3 or Last Blade or Samurai Spirits.
