Works the same way as spider webs, deals damage for every place it connects to the enemy. It's very good against flying enemies, especially dragons because they're easily stunned.

Nigger I just mentioned Hectors and their varied loadouts. Those dumbass annoying as fuck roller enemies were just used as the sole enemy type in a couple gimmick missions anyway, they were never used in a prominent and varied manner as the different Hector types in 2025.

Fair enough. Hectors didn't have a huge loadout either. But the biggest offender of 2025/4.1 was the bosses. They are all bigger variants of the monster baring the greater dragon. EDF2 had the centipede boss.

I'm not saying he is not mobile or anything like that. He just takes a while to get him to the same level as the other classes. His load out is very situation and you have to get the right combination to survive the stage where as in the other classes can fluke out even if they get their set up wrong. Fencer needs more weapon variety rather than having level 1 cannon then level 93 bigger cannon that does more damage.

That's quite wrong, actually. You can fuck yourself over with any class, like taking short-range weaponry on dropship missions, snipers underground or cooldowned vehicles/support on a mission with not enough trash mobs. You get 4 slots with Fencer, use them.
melee/jav/shield + 30mm Gallic and lockon launcher or disperse mortar can get you though any mission. The fact that you're also the fasters EDF unit on the map helps a lot too.

Ranger does not have a flamethrower with horrible delay and recoil, both wing diver and ranger can out-snipe your cannons. That's why you have 4 weapon slots, not 2. Other classes can't trade ability to run for 2 other weapons, Fencer can.

Anon, this is the biggest pile of bull I've seen lately. Ranger can't hold a tunnel against dozens of enemies on Inferno for minutes. WD can outsnipe because WD's whole role is being a glass cannon. That's why her top sniper deals more damage than most weapons in the game.

That is wrong. I can even back that up with numbers:
lvl82 35 mm Cannon: 8 shots, 10000 damage each. 6 seconds reload, 1200m range.
vs
lvl90 (8 levels higher) Lysander Z: 10 shots, only 5500 damage each. Same reload time, but range is only 975.
These are top weapons in their class, but the same difference can be seen even on lowest level versions of these guns. Like 900dmg on lvl10 Gallions vs 400dmg on Lysander.
All classes are fun in 2025 and are even better in 4.1. But saying that Fencers underperform, especially compared to ranger of all things, is just stupid.

On Inferno, I think the only weapon that would be effective against flying enemies is the dyna force blade's charged attack because it's the only weapon with long range capability that allows you to aim and fire quickly while still remaining mobile but it takes a lot of skill to use it.
