if you killed the two lanterns you just cheese the giant fish enemies. just drop down to make the first fish guy start patrolling, immediately run up the ladder, go all the way around to the lighthouse lantern, take the elevator back down, and now you can use range attacks on him. the second guy will drop like usual and you can snipe them both. just keep using blood bullets and the strongest range attack you have, use the monicle to free aim. takes a while but is safer than even the shaman bone

Even if he's not, he's right. The only good dex weapon available early other than the blade of mercy which requires killing an NPC and 40,000 notsouls farmed is the saw spear, which is an only slightly modified version of the saw cleaver (the latter of which is the speedrunners' choice because of the higher base damage). The threaded cane isn't even comperable to the saw cleaver early game, it shouldn't be a potential starting weapon.

Good Str weapons are every where. I can accept that.
But Dex weapons have BoM, Reiter, Cane, Bow Blade, and Saif which are all fairly accessible early on (unless you're a unSkilled scrub).
For blood, Bow Blade is fairly early like I said, and Chikage can be obtained at the same time. 2/3 are available after Amelia. Wow.
And for Arc, you obviously didnt play an Arc build. Saw spear is basically used as a full fire weapon with 3 arc gems that scale with Arc. You pretty much never upgrade or just change to a weapon you prefer and use ele gems.
