>action
they call first person shooters 'Action'
This is terrible. What a horrible categorization of genres. What the fuck is "Action", I mean I know it's traditionally used for God of War and Bayonetta type stuff but that shit isn't THAT popular. Shooter? Yeah I guess if you cram in every shmup, fps, run and gun, rail shooter, tps explosion hallway (Uncharted owns tho) etc. it would be about that. What the fuck is "Arcade"? Last time I checked you can play a multitude of genres in arcades. It's a design philosophy not a genre.

"Action" in this context pretty much means every console game that isn't a shooter or a sports game. Since there's no "Platformer" genre, I'm guessing even something like Mario would fit in this category.

That's not children's entertainment

COD is an 'Action'

What's the difference between an action game and a shooter? I mean aren't all shooters action games?
Also, I prefer walking simulators and story heavy games. But then again I'mtransso maybe it's the hormones

Just say Nintendo.

Action, Shooter and Sports games should have been implemented into Casual.
>>330980614
Action, shooter etc is casual. They use casual as a separate word, which is wrong.

Flawed stats should be .6%

and counterstrike is the number 1 result for "strategy".
>>330980614
Those statistics were probably taken by asking at a place where the people understood the questions, i.e. they asked "gamers", who will most likely also play mobile, but won´t name them as their favorites.

Surprise, surprise, marketers don't use the casual category in relation to perceived difficulty of games.
