As in it takes and borrows mechanics from the other games, while the new perspective brings absolutely nothing new.

It's a shame MOBAs tend to use LoL as a base.
Infinite Crisis also did that and had stuff like stealth pads and shit for no logical reason.
I don't get it, why is it necessary? Why not simply rely on fog of war?

No clue. I think if there is one thing every one of these games use from League, its the dumb bush/stealth spots. Fog or War/LOS would be perfect for a fucking shooter, but they fuck it up.
Also if they want to have a jungle, the jungle should be above the lanes so you can gank from the jungle by jumping down from above. Rather than the shitty League way which is to use stealth pads and come from the lanes that lead from the jungle. The map gives no room for maneuverability, and this is all ontop of characters being slow as shit.

I think the real problem with this game is how it was supposed to be a 3rd person shooter on a moba map, but like Smite it's just a moba with a different camera angle instead.
