casual fest, super easy, no desire or need to explore whatsoever, repetitive, all of the games features only unlock well after 50% of the game is completed.

I dunno man, the story was a little short, I didn't like the character as much and there weren't as many feels. It felt cool playing as a templar though.

A lot of the on-land sections are boring, lots of boring ass "follow somebody and eavesdrop on them" and the towns are relatively uninspired, unintuitive, and don't flow well for an Assassin's Creed game.
The biggest flaw with the ocean sections is that the difficulty curve is shallow. The game does throw 5 remote super ships at you for the sake of challenge though.
Otherwise, it's an amazing pirate game but not remotely the best assassin game.
Was looking to be the first game I ever bothered to 100%
Been casually doing little exploration and collectable chunks over a year towards that goal
Turns out Ubisoft cloud save has a bug where it will delete local and cloud saves. Turns out I won't be 100%ing it now
