What game made the best use of dialogue boxes?
No one ever seems to talk about this underrated vidya feature.
Conker's bubbles were pretty cool.
FF9 did some great humour with the free-floating dialogue boxes. I appreciate this a lot, still today.
twilight princess did that thing where it appears in the hylian language for a second and then switches to english. pretty neat.

I always liked the way Souls games handle dialogue, by making it completely unrestrictive and only making the player answer questions that have an actual outcome.
