The only way this is a good deal is if it's pc compatible. The added value of having it on pc as a DIRECT competition to vive and rift on top of working on ps4 and at that price point would be a deal that would outweight it's lower quality. But Sony is too stupid to do that so this will be hardware locked to the ps4 and probably fail because of it.

That's gonna depend on a lot of things. You can't just plug stuff to a pc and then bullshit your way into making it work, and sony is infamous for propertary formats so don't rule out this using a non standard way to plug into the ps4 just to fuck with you.
