It's a online loot base third-person cover shooter. I personally never played it but that's more or less what everyone told me. Friends really love it but even they are saying that it might not have a whole lot of stay power unless the Dark Zone is something that becomes even more than what it is now.

Map is cool, clothing/apparel is decent, gunplay is painfully average and there is no end game. And in Dark Zone(PvP) bandit/rogue system is fucked so nobody kills anyone.
Proably worth 20-30 dollarinos if it gets any better.
