In Smash? I feel like he is one of the least fun characters to play as. He just feels so sluggish, and you aren't able to do any real damage until you reach around 60% damage.

Since Blaziken was nurfed to hell and back in Pearl, he was my Fighter replacement.
In Smash Bros, he's too slow. I like his mechanic of gaining strength the more damaged he is as that plays right into my playstyle. But it doesn't help much when half his moves are reactionary. And he seems to die at a lower percentage than my main (Luigi).

Was indifferent on it when first revealed but began to dislike it after a while thanks to Zoroark looking better.

The physical/special split made Blaziken less overpowered than he was in Emerald. Where Fire Punch and Sky Attack acted like special moves, but was physical (highly exploitable). They also didn't give Blaziken the best new move in Gen IV, which was Close Combat. Which Infernape and Lucario did get.

I was okay with Mewtwo being this supreme cool guy legendary focus for the franchise, because he was the first. Everything after that was cheap. Lucario isn't even a legendary.
You should make a pokemon cool on its own terms, like Sandlash. Lucario would have gotten its own fanbase, you didn't need to force it.
I like Medicham or Hitmonchan better as fighting pokemon. Hell, even Hariyama is more respectable. I'd use a Lucario on my team once if he wasn't such a fucking meme. I won't use Entei, the Unown Letters, Latios/Latias or any movie based Pokemon either. Jirachi and Mew are cooler than Lucaroi without even trying.
Haven't played Pokemon in a couple years now and I'm still mad at Lucario. You can't go and make some guy like Muk cool, you have to pick the humanshape one
