I'll give Color Splash and Zelda Uif it ever comes outa shot. If I end up hating both, Nintendo is dead to me.
If Nintendo dies, I will literally stop gaming. There's no point, seeing as they're the last devs out there with that "old style mentality" of making games.
Maybe a few indies will remember the good things Nintendo did and implement them in their games in some way or form (see Axiom Verge, that was pretty good even though replayability was low compared to Metroid games), but other than that I would be ready to say "screw you gaming."

Nintendo was not, is not, and never will be the only company that knows how to make good games. As someone who grew up on Nintendo and never owned a non-Nintendo console until a few years ago, even I can recognize this fact. So you should probably take your head out of Nintendo's ass and actually try to expand your horizons instead of just waiting for the next game that reminds you of your childhood favorites

From a business standpoint, if Nintendo can afford to make new niche games (they can), they can make a profit on niche game development (they can), and the resources to make niche games exist (they do), then it makes sense to make niche games. It does NOT make sense for Nintendo to look at a franchise and say, "some of our IPs make more money than others, so we should forget all but the biggest ones."
