What the hell happened? There was a short period there where /v/ liked TP more. Now it's right back to having a bunch of WWfags here.
A few years ago I would have said you are wrong but after replaying both of them with the HD versions I agree, WW was boring as fuck to slog through. So much padding and the dungeons are terrible, the only part I can say I really like is the fight against puppet ganon. In retrospect TP was a much better game.

I had the exact same experience, even playing the HD version of Wind Waker and Wii version of TP.
I'll never forget my first time playing WW and being so disappointed when you just get the third goddess pearl without a dungeon.

Because there is nothing in the overworld, there is nothing to look at, there is nothing to do, there is barely anything to fight.
Wind Waker aged better and the dumb "mature" scenes in TP were laughably cringy.
Honestly I agree. TP has plenty of flaws, but WW is FUNDAMENTALLY flawed. WW's world design is far too copypaste, the game was rushed and it shows. Nintendo just wasn't up to the task of crafting an ocean of that size, so they cut corners. TP also has the stronger storyline content, and better combat.

It's just easier to play and enjoy WW because the music, characters, and graphics are so cheery.
TP on the other hand is really forgettable and dreary, it takes away from the decent combat. And the lack of fun things to do in the huge world make it a drag.

I said "mature" in quotes cause I don't know who they were trying to go for with this. Also the not ganandorf guy, Z something, all his scenes were over the top. Midna was really the only character who worked around the vibes TP gave so that's why she's a good character, and maybe Zelda too.
