I've never played a DmC game before so that shouldnt be an issue.
Doesn't live up to the DMC name, but it's still a lot of fun. Pick up DMC4:SE sometime if you're into the genre, great game.

I swear to god, I fucking hate that you have to beat these games to unlock all the difficulty modes. I hate that shit. I never play a game more than once and I want my one playthrough to be as hard and thus as satisfying as possible.
Other than that, it was a pretty good game.

If you've never played a Devil May Cry game, this is probably the place to start. Play DmC, then get the DMC collection and then DMC4SE. You'll notice the quality only gets better except with DMC2.
