What does /v/ think of this?
the modern levels and some of the boss fights are amazing
the classic stages and about 80% of the missions are alright, nothing special
the final boss fight and some of the other missions are absolute trash
overall I liked it but I think it's kinda overrated. Better than Unleashed but about on par with it as far as "good but has problems."

Unleashed would probably trounce this if it didn't have the werehog or QTE.

Classic stages are OK but coast off previous highpoints instead of standing on their own. Still doesn't hold a candle to the Genesis games

I hate boost.
I hate classic.
The stage design was alright, but I prefer the originals, with the exception of the Genesis game levels. Chem Plant is great.
The final boss sucked.
The soundtrack was pretty bad compared to the originals. Chem plant is, again, great.
The Shadow fight was alright, but I still hate boost.
I'd like to have seen a Riders reference or two.
Overall a solid 6/10. Very middle of the road.

It's bretty gud. With the modern stages were more like Adventure less like Unleashed. I hate boost.
Best 3d Sonic game, overall a good addiction to the franchise. Superb fan-service, but the classic side of the game is inferior to the genesis trilogy.

Actually really good.
Classic levels were fun despite not being as tight and physics-heavy as the original Sonic games, and Modern levels are fun to speed-run. Wish there were more levels though, and the story was stupid.
Also, should have had multiplayer races.

As far as how the game plays, it's definitely one the best 3D Sonic games. The variety of levels could've been better though.

>Seaside Hill, a Green Hill Zone remake, in a game that already has a Green Hill Zone remake
>Planet Wisp isn't a fitting final level at all. The game just sort of ends because of that

I would've maybe added three more classic stages, replace Speed Highway and Seaside Hill with something else, and have Death Egg Zone be the final stage instead of Planet Wisp.

Classic gameplay had terrible physics.
Boost gameplay is the best that boost has ever been.
Mod support out the ass.
I rate it a "fanservice in a good way" out of 10.
