How will upgrading to windows 10 and installing DX12 effect my game performance.

Not sure, but Windows 10 installed itself on my computer 3 days ago, and now every so often when I play Metal Gear, all the USB inputs, headphone, keyboard, and mouse, all die on me and I have reset my computer every couple of hours to fix it.

You won't see any performance difference from upgrading to 10. And it depends on your hardware if you get a advantage in dx12

There might be some boost in old titles, but you might as well ignore it.
DX12 will improve performance in CPU bound games and some GPU bound games.
But performance increase in CPU bound games isn't even the best part of DX12, it's a paradigm shift, DX12 only titles will give unprecedented control and freedom(to innovate AND fuck up) to devs
OS is in beta by this point, this year's RedStone or next year RedStone will be the real launch. It's fine as it is, but I recommend waiting for the last minute to update.
