For me it's either JRPG's or fighting games. Emulate some older shit, stuff is really fun. Been playing Dragon Warrior III for GBC, it's my favorite JRPG ever. You should give it a shot.

OG animal crossing makes me think of cwcville so I can't really do that but New Leaf is okay. I found the DS title to be way more enjoyable though.

I like playing FPS games, particularly something with good open sandbox to play in or good objective based fps ganes like PD or TS. Strategy games are also super fucking comfy, love playing fire emblem or XCOM while listening to some YouTube vids or podcasts.
