Napolean and FotS are my 2 favourites, nostalgia hard on for Medieval 1.
I actually like the Rome 2 battles from a purely immersion perspective.
And I'l be waiting for you forever...
Empire is unironically my favorite. It just feels so good to colonize and build plantations and secure trade routes.My proudest accomplishment was playing as Austria and winning World Conquest goal. I annexed all of the Ottoman Empire, all of India, and the northern areas of North America. I spread the one true Catholic faith to all territories and retained the power of the absolute monarchy. I never felt so fucking good before this.

Has horrible optimization, an autoresolve option that is too beneficial not to use (which leads to just spamming armies filled with spears), a not really interesting time period, and certain new mechanics which don't really add up to being much more than a nuisance. I still like it more than Rome 2 though, and it did bring back family trees
