What's the first thing you'll do when you start playing? Just hopping my ship and flying high enough to see the planet as a ball below me before heading off to the other side of it is something I really want to do and not enough games let me do it.

I will do literally nothing, which is the full content of the game.
I was listening to giant bomb and they revealed the game actually has so much more than we thought.
Stations, voiced NPCs, merchants, tons of resources to collect on planets including tunnels and underground content, etc.
The game seems almost like starbound developed properly in 3d with a mix of elite dangerous. the only thing I think sucks is that the universe is so big it's unlikely to really run into other players and actually team up with them.

I'm going to search the planet I'm on for any of those Corvak/Korvack scientist NPCs. I want to start interacting with them and learning the language as fast as I can.
Its been confirmed that ther will be multiplayer in this game its just very unlikely youll run into anybody you know due to the scale and random start points...With planning and patience you WILL be able to meet up with your spacebros but your unlikely to ever just bump into them....this is good in the sense that it cements the scale of the universe pretty well into your mind but pretty annoying in the sense that if you meet up with a friend in game then to stick together your gonna have to play at the same time and go the same places....

I'm really looking forward to this game, so I am pretty hype. Lack of content or whatever isn't bothering me because I want this game to be comfy (though I do believe it will have plenty of content and they just haven't released the info yet).
However, the one thing above all things I desperately want them to add into the game is full blown planet destruction. There's 8 quadrillion planets, let us blow them up! I don't know any game that really let's you get this destructive, let alone a game that let's you blow up planets in anything more than some mission cut scene.
I wanna start out a comfy explorer, but eventually wanna dick out and full on blow up planets as a ruthless space villian!

Try not to die if I'm on a hostile planet and not shoot at any creatures accidentally. I know difficulty will vary depending on where you end up, but there's gotta be something in the algorithms that makes sure you don't get ass raped on a toxic planet right off the bat.
I'll probably be scanning everything in sight and loading up on materials before taking off.
