Is there any disadvantage to getting this over the GBA originals?
I think some anons had told me that the collection was actually easier than the stand alone games.

Easy Campaign is what it sounds like, a special version of all four games strung together as one that is purposefully easier.
Otherwise I'm pretty sure it's the same.

I own both and there is no difference. However the collection also has a 'story mode' that lets you play through all 4 games with ease - ignore that mode.
Also Zero and Megaman officially die in the game.
Easy mode has all four games in one. You can choose to play each one individually.

It was called "tourist mode" or something.
It's fine. if anything you get unlockable artwork and cheats*.
*You can unlock different assets i.e the plants here look different. It's something.2=3>1>4

Some of the dialogue was changed to remove references to "death" and "killing". You also can't play Zero 2's multiplayer mode or connect Zero 3 to Battle Network 4.

There's an easy mode that has you play through all the games in order with the "ultimate mode" in each game activated. It's called Easy Mode, not Story Mode though.

the series died because capcom is shit. The game's themselves continued on with x and zero, along with the 4 guardiansand axl in ZXAas "biometal" that allowed people to use those same abilities as the originals.
So the games were fine, megaman just got abandoned by crapcom.
