I just beat Grigori and suddenly the game got interesting. Did anyone else feel meh about the game until the "final battle"? How fun is the Bitterblack Isle content in /v/'s eyes?
BBI is easily one of the best parts of the game.
In the Everfall there's an infamous room called The Chamber of Fate.
This was infamous because it contained a combination of enemies that absolutely tore the player a new asshole when everything else was otherwise simple, and people loved it because it brought some real challenge that the game otherwise outpaced too quickly otherwise.
Bitterblack Isle is that room, extended to an entire end-game dungeon. It's fantastic.

>Bitterblack Isle
the true dragon's dogma starts here
Well time to play Dragons Dogma again, stopped after I beat Daimon 2.

lolwut
There are merchants who sell really good shit in Everfall, does anyone know a good way to grind out a lot of gold?
This is literally where 90% of the actual content starts. I was not getting the hype of DDDA until I beat the main quest and started playing in the Ever all and BBI. Now it's one of my favorite RPGs.
>>330495254
Everything before Grigori's death is just a very long prologue.
>>330495254
>That Gorecyclops OST
m8, level up, they're going to rape ur ass.
>>330497708
>not Desperate Battle
Main game's OST didn't impress me that much, since it just sounds like Dragon Age.
Then I got to BBI, holy shit.
>>330495254
The main game I feel is great if a tad vanilla but overall pretty good, especially as far as the combat's concerned. The devs prioritized gameplay over story, so it's good for players who like to fight monsters. In that sense I feel it's the opposite of Witcher 3, which has a neat world and story, but utter shit for combat.
Then the final battle happens and Grigori's the best dragon boss fight in ages.
Then you go to Bitterblack and it's the megadungeon of your dreams. It's nothing but ultra-hard enemies to assrape you, plus the best loot in the game. The final boss has a spell that can perma-kill potentially all of your pawns in one go, lasts forever, and I'm not sure it can be interrupted, if I can even get that close without also being caught in said spell.
I thought the main game was as good as it'd get before I got to the BBI stuff in NG+
It's easily the best and most challenging part of the game gameplay wise. Makes me wish the rest of the game was more like it
>>330495254
>How fun is the Bitterblack Isle content in /v/'s eyes?
The real game itself.
>>330496908
Sell Wakestones
>>330496908
Grind the everfall since there enemies drop a ashitload of wakestones and those are worth 30000G each.
BBI is by far the best part of the game, which is why I was glad I did it last. After being able to steamroll Daimon 2.0 easily, I tried to replay the game but focusing on a new profession and I found the base game too goddamn slow and boring to proceed.
>How fun is the Bitterblack Isle
Pretty fun, a bit of a pushover and some enemies being more annoying than an actual threat. Just remember to re-visit BBI after beating it once, final boss gets a new form and enemy placement change.
Also: Death is not meant to be killed in one encounter.
>>330498717
>not sure it can be interrupted
Most ranged classes have 0 problem interrupting it.
And the melee classes just have to have good timing and enough stagger/knockdown powerI beat Daimon 2.0 and BBI 2.0 as a Warrior and THAT is true suffering
>>330499487
>Death is not meant to be killed in one encounter
but you can with tons of tenfold blast arrows to the face
>i-it gets good after you beat the final boss
>>330499487
>a but of a pushover
srsly? Unless you're an MA or you're just running past shit, BBI is fucking hard. Eliminators, wargs, that room before the city in BBI 2.0. I think it's a really good challenge.
>>330496908
Sell armor and weapons you find that you and your pawn will never use
Sitting at 15 million gold right now and have nothing that I cant buy
>>330499723
Why would you ever play anything other than MA? Ignoring how OP it is, it's objectively the most fun vocation.
>>330499703
In this case, it's literally true.
:^)
>>330499723
>that room before the city in BBI 2.0
Fuck the city itself gives me fucking PTSD
Who thought it was a good idea to cram a bunch of dragons, eliminators, and living armors all in the same place
>>330499831
false. fighter is most fun, plus it gives a great challenge. I do really like MA though.
>>330499831
i like wearing heavy armor as MK
its a shame that yellow vocations have shit looking armor
>>330499939
>>330499831
>uses the word "fun"
>when Warrior exists
There should be a sequel announced soon right guys? Nearing 4 tears now and still nothing.
>>330499998
b-but BBI yellow armor is the coolest of the three.
>>330499703
Actually it gets good after you get to Gran Soren, but the best parts are objectively the Grigori fight and BBI.
>>330499703
>Someone who probably never even played the game
>>330500045
>warrior
>anything but suffering
>>330500094
>wanting to look like a sandnigger
>>330500064
Technically there's DDOnline, but that's Japan only.
There's like a 99% chance Itsuno's working on DMC5, and he'll need time to finish that before he can start on DD2.
All we can do is wait and hope for a DDO localization at this rate.
>>330495254
>How fun is the Bitterblack Isle content in /v/'s eyes?
Depends on much you like in-doors dungeon crawls filled with artificial difficulty and MMO-level random drops.
Because that is all of BBI. It's fucking garbage that only delusioned difficulty-fags like.
>>330500330
It's not the best looking armor in the game, but BBI armor for red and blue classes is ugly IMO.
>>330500178
>>330500045
I love warrior, but the 3 skill limit ruins it for me. Could be my favorite class if they just gave 3 more slots.
>>330500483
git gud
>>330500775
>but BBI armor for red and blue classes is ugly IMO
i know
hell armor set is ugly as fuck
at least the immortal set looks good
>>330500045

Really now?
What ENB's do you guys use?
